I really like this location over the Fraser street location. Parking is easier and I feel like the quality is better here. I saw a lot of other people order some delicious dishes that are not soup noodles. I can’t wait to try some of them out next time!

Excellent deal for happy hour after 2pm and 3pm. I didn't like the fact that one cannot get free parking for even an hour by dinning there. There are no near-by free street parking and the only parking available is a private paid parking where the TnT and Fortune Seafood restaurant both offer free parking with a receipt but not Deer Garden. This is too bad because the restaurant is in a nice quiet location, and very comfortable seating inside, and food is also very good. Please do better Deer Garde!

Updated review Jan 2026: I have been back to try different dishes. All of them are delicious with good price. Feel grateful for the authentic HK hot lemon tea as well as the consistent and warm service. Please keep them up! First review in Oct 2025: I ordered the Signature Halibut dish #1, which came with rice and fish soup. The fish was delicious and the rice was also very good. The only improvement area is the soup. Although the broth was nice, the veggy put into the broth had not been cooked yet. It was the kind of veggy needs time to boil so it would be soften and sweet. The cook treated it like salad veggy and just put it in before serving. Will visit again to try the other dishes.

Very fresh seafood. Parking is commercial. You enter from the back entrance. Apple Pay is accepted for parking. However, this restaurant doesn’t take credit cards or debit cards from the U.S.. Canadian Apple Pay with debit card only. I end up giving $30 USD in cash for $29 worth of Canadian dollar food accounting for 15% tips included. As of August 2, 2025. USD is strong. $30 USD is worth $40 Canadian dollars.

Tom yum gong soup is delicious, equivalent between sour and spicy. Steam fish with garlic and chilly is also tasty. Service is a bit long waiting for the food. Total is worth to come back.

Clean bright newly renovated dining area. Servers are attentive and quick. Just opened so there was a line up. Shared a parking lot with T&T. Parking in paid but if you purchase sometime from T&T you can get it reimbursed. Tom yum noodle soup was delicious. Light tangy and so flavourful.
